Ini Edo, Okey Bakasi, Others Shine At Elizabeth Daniels’ Classy Birthday Party, Premieres Movie

Friday, July 20, 2012 will surely remain in the memories of Nigerian entertainers for a long time as they were spoilt with a classy birthday party by Nollywood star actress, Elizabeth Daniels. The beautiful actress hosted her friends in the showbiz world at Shaunz Lounge located inside Murphys Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Lizzy, as the actress is fondly called by friends, had a double celebration on that as she also previewed her new multi-million naira movie ‘Behind The Melody’ to her friends. The movie, which was directed by Moses Ewang, featured Ini Edo, Jim Iyke, Elizabeth Daniels herself and others.

Hours before her posh birthday, Lizzy visited a Lagos based orphanage, where she celebrated and donated gift items to the less privileged kids.

Ini Edo, Okey Bakassi, May D, Ruggedman, Charles O’Tudor, Faze, Victor Olaitan of Tinsel, Tony Okoye of Ajeh Clothing, Chukwuka Christopher, Uche Nwaezeapu, Alex Ekubo, Chigozie Atuanya were some of the celebrities that added colour to Lizz’s birthday.

According to Ini Edo, “Elizabeth is a fantastic actress, and she is a fast leaner too. ‘Behind The Melody’ may be her first film as a producer, but I can assure you it is a chartbuster. What she has proved is that to succeed in this industry is not a matter of how long, but how well you do things.

“Also, we are all happy to celebrate her birthday with her because she really deserves such honour and I strongly believe that the sky will be her starting point.”

GOLDIE TENDERS APOLOGIES TO FANS

Adebnimpe Suzan Harvey the recently evicted from the Season Seven Big Brother Africa Stargame seems to have realised her mistakes in the BBA and has tendered her unreserved apologies to her fans in Nigeria and beyond.

“I want to tell Nigerians that I am so sorry. I am human just like everyone. I am an extremely emotional person. Everybody has two sides.

What we entertainers represent on stage is different from who we are off stage.

And I didn’t go into the Big Brother StarGame with any strategy. I went in there as an individual and just to be my real self. And that’s
what Africa saw. I didn’t go into that house as Goldie, the performer; I was in there as Susan. Fortunately, my teeming fans got to see the
human side of me and not the woman they see on stage,”

“I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am brought up to be loyal and be truthful to everyone. I am not the type that plot or play schism. So, when I.K. showed me the nomination last Sunday, the discovery was shocking and my knees went weak. Every other guy had like 8, 6 and 5
nominations, but I had just two. And I was the one to leave. I felt betrayed when I discovered one of the persons that nominated me for
eviction,”

“Nigerians are loving, caring and religious people. We have high moral standards. And all these qualities I tried to exhibit while in the Big
Brother house,”

“You had about 50 cameras to watch you but I had only two eyes and two ears and I believed in what I saw. But when I heard everything he had said, I was sad, but I realise that he went into the house to play a game. I have learnt my lesson and I am stronger for it,” she said.

'I am quitting Nollywood temporarily' - Emeka Ike

Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike, has said he's leaving Nollywood temporarily to strategies. Speaking to an Encomium reporter exclusively on Sunday July 22nd, the actor said:
"I have not quit Nollywood in the real sense of the word. What I did was to withdraw all my movies from the market, and I mean all the movies that are related with Emeka Ike...and the reason is not far fetched. I am angry with what is going on in the industry. My conscience would not allow me to go on with the decay in the industry. So, I feel that was the best thing to do, to dissociate myself from the problem and stand out! So, henceforth, any Nollywood movie would not involve Emeka Ike. Rather, I want to market all my movies on the label of Emeka Ike Production. If you want to deal with me as an actor, you have to work with me under the label. That clearly separates me from Nollywood
