Victoria Beckham’s high maintenance style

With a slender size 6 frame, an A-list social circle and a revolving high-fashion wardrobe, Victoria Beckham is far from the average woman. But for her latest cover shoot featured in Harper's Bazaar UK, Posh has insisted that she is just ‘like the rest of us’, especially when it comes to her catwalk designs. “We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and then I say 'OK, I'm going to put it on. I stand for the general public here.' It's how I work,” said Posh. While she reminds us just how down-to-earth she is, we’ve had a look back at the VB style files and found examples of her not-so-normal moments.

Yummy mummy 

How many mothers have you seen tottering about in six-inch stilettos, while holding their baby in tow? That’s right, none. Ms Beckham claims to be like every woman but we are pretty sure most mums yearn to look this stylish within weeks after delivering their newborn.

Transatlantic glamour 

Arriving at Milan’s Linate airport from LAX in a grey military-style outfit Posh looked like she had just flown a plane rather than being aboard one. This outfit is a little OTT for a long-haul international flight, don’t you think?

Skin tight gold lame 

Not many women can pull of a gold metallic form-fitting costume. Showing off a toned body on the Spice Girls reunion tour in 2007, Victoria owned the stage in a series of couture outfits designed by Roberto Cavalli.

Unusual sportswear 

While we applaud Victoria for outfit co-ordination here, but there is something a little off about dressing like you’re off to the office when you’re actually going to sports event. Then again, if we owned a Birkin bag and Roland Mouret dress we would want to wear it at every occasion, no matter where we were going.

Crazy shoe game 

We know VB is crazy about heels but in this case she actually isn’t wearing any! Those thigh-high rubber boots are completely heel-less. Only a fashionista like Ms Beckham can pull off an outfit like this. If it was us we would look like budget Lady Gaga impersonators.
