Nigeria youth international, Nosa Igiebor has called on Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi to give members of the national U-23 team that failed to qualify for the 2012 Olympics a look-in when the team reassembles as part of the coach’s rebuilding process.
Igiebor whose brace at the weekend aided his Israeli top flight club, Hapoel Tel-Aviv to a 4-1 routing of Maccabi Haifa told a foreign media agency that members of the Austin Eguavoen squad had a lot to offer in the new look Eagles.
“Most of us from the Olympic team have energy to drive the Eagles to greater heights but we need the chance to show that. I don’t take it personal against anyone for not being called up for the game but I just hope I get my chance,” he told Goal.com

The power-playing midfielder said he had no problems with the national team coach for ignoring him during preparations for the first leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda. He believes his time would come soon. “Well I understand that not all the players can play at the same time.”
but I feel that since it is a rebuilding process, we younger players could be given a chance to prove what we can do for the team. I want to contribute my own little quota in the race for the Nations and World Cup qualification.“
Igiebor believes the Eagles have started well with the draw in Kigali but insists, “I think we have to start winning games away from home so it reduces pressure on the team going into the final games.“
He was full of praise for his new coach at Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Nitzan Shirazi, describing him as “the best” he had worked under since joining the club and hoped the coach’s tutelage, in his debut season, will earn them a place in next season’s Europa League competition.
