J Martins is once again in the news but this time, it’s not becauseof a new wave making single he is releasing or another colabo with an African artist,rather J. Martins has emerged from a meeting with lawyers and labelrepresentatives after signing over control of his music management to Now music.
Now Muzik currently manages 2Face Idibia, T.W.O, Sunny Neji and Timi Dakolo and so this addition has left both sides visibly elated. COO of Now Muzik Mr. Tony Anifite said “Basically, J. Martins needs a managementteam that can plan his itinerary and tours and engagements. We had a meetingand immediately hit it off right away. He’s a super talented artiste”
J. Martins, who has two albums under his belt is set tounveil his third album titled “SELAH” (Hebrew for “Pause andthink”). It is a 12 tracker that is expected to have all the twist andturns fans have come to love J Martins for.
The award winning singer who has traveled well over 78countries across the globe said “The bar has been raised. So I believe it istime for us to pause and think on ways to generally up our game”
J. Martins is responsible for producing some of Nigeria’sbiggest hits. His 2008 monster classic “Good or Bad” ft P-Square andTimaya made a lot of influence on the tempo and rhythm of today’s contemporaryhighlife music. His signature tunes are a perfect blend of soukous, highlifeand hiphop.
J Martins says he is prepared to push forward the frontiersof African music and he is confident that Now Muzik will help propel his careerto the next level.
