Stern J-Lo looks seriously sexy as she slips into form-fitting red dress on American Idol set

She has received almost as much attention for her array of glamorous outfits as for her judging skills on the last few weeks of American Idol.

And today, Jennifer Lopez stepped out in yet another striking creation on the set of the TV talent show.

But she didn't look too happy with her clinging cherry red dress with sheer cream panelling and failed to muster a smile as she left her trailer
Lady in red: Jennifer Lopez stepped out in a red dress with cream lace panel neckline as neckline as she stepped out on the American Idol set today The 42-year-old star, who has experienced something of a career resurgence since  signing on as a American Idol judge, seemed to require some concentration and a helping hand to walk on her cream high heels.

The star teamed the outfit with oversized hoop earrings and wore her long light brown hair loose over her shoulders.
Bright matching red lipstick completed the look as she strolled over to the studio to take her place on the judging panel alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.
The rear view: The clinging dress showed off J-Lo's famous curves to the maximum

There are five finalists remaining - Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez - with no clear favourite to win.

J-Lo was today not accompanied by her 25-year-old boyfriend Casper Smart today, but he is said to be in the audience cheering her on every week.

Lopez recently announced a 16 date tour alongside Enrique Iglesias.

Tomorrow J-Lo will premiere the music video for her new song Follow The Leader, a collaboration with singers Wisin & Yandel.

It will be the first music video to premiere on the social networking site.
